This video addresses some of the various challenges we are dealing with when it comes to online teaching such as having students see their scheduled meetings on a calendar, being made attendees instead of being presenters and not being able to start up meetings before the teacher gets there! I hope this will help teachers regain a bit more control over their online classes in Microsoft Teams.
The lobby feature, I find, is particularly useful as the students can join the meeting but not actually engage or do anything until the teacher ‘admits’ them to the main meeting. It also makes sure that only those who are allowed access are given access.
